Managing labs with Visual Studio 2010 Lab Management

Running projects today can be a challenge. With agile principles such as iterative and incremental development we aim to develop, test and release with shorter and shorter cycles. To keep up with the pace in a project it is very valuable to have supporting practices such as automated build and deployments in place. Unfortunately it is often practices that keep being prioritized down and instead handled manually, resulting in time consuming and error prone processes.

Visual Studio 2010 has a new component, called Lab Management, which aims to improve this situation. With Visual Studio 2010 Lab Management we get tools to create test environments, automate deployments and automate testing.

In this presentation we will go through the capabilities of Lab Management and look at how we can use it to build an effective test environment.
